Richard G. Devlin III serves as Vice President and General Counsel of Commonwealth Capital Corp. Mr. Devlin oversees all general legal matters for the company.
Prior to joining Commonwealth, Mr. Devlin was an associate with the law firm Reed Smith, LLP in Philadelphia. As part of Reed Smith’s Securitization Practice Group, Mr. Devlin managed a team of professionals in a high volume commercial loan servicing practice. Mr. Devlin has developed programs and advised clients regarding compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and related corporate governance and disclosure regulations. Mr. Devlin has advised both foreign and domestic entities on US securities law compliance in the context of IPO’s, exchange listing, private placements, mergers, and employee benefit plans.
Mr. Devlin graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance at The American University. Mr. Devlin is admitted to the bar in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Mr. Devlin has also advised MBA students at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business.
